Wizehire
Lead Communications Strategist, December 2023 – June 2024

  • Led external marketing communications efforts, including pitching and outreach, scheduling interviews, monitoring press and analytics, publishing press releases, responding to inquiries and opportunities, measuring metrics and KPIs, and maintaining Wizehire’s database of reporters and outlets.

  • Developed engaging, strategic content to build awareness and relationships with customers, prospects, and the general public.

  • Spearheaded the development of the Wizehire newsroom landing page, overseeing all aspects of the project from concept to completion, including research, creating assets, and cross-collaborating with UX designers and development team.

  • Secured an average of 600 syndications and media placements per press release in target publications, including Yahoo!, AP, Market Watch, Benzinga, Morningstar, Seeking Alpha, Hotel Management, HR Tech Cube, HR Tech Series, and more. 

  • Maintained an average SOV of 10% and 93% positive sentiment quarter over quarter.  

  • Worked closely with stakeholders from various teams, including Executive, Content, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Design, to create content and collaborate on full-scale announcements.

Wizehire
Communications Strategist, July 2022 – December 2023

  • Supported communication strategy and efforts, including PR, brand, and internal communications projects with Communications team and external agency. 

  • Coordinated with Head of Communications, CEO, and agency to produce content featured in the Wall Street Journal, Essence, Market Watch, GoBankingRates, Small Business Currents, HRDive, HR.com, and industry-specific outlets.  

  • Conducted deep analysis of PR tools and agencies, onboarding with Agility PR and saving the Marketing department $156,000 annually.

  • Launched LinkedIn monthly newsletter with an average engagement rate of 2.63% and gained over 75k subscribers in less than six months. 

  • Collaborated with the Content team to produce content, including proofing and copyediting 3-4 pieces of content per week.

  • Developed an updated press kit for a rebrand and worked closely with an agency and the executive team to collect bios, headshots, and testimonials.

  • Maintained 56% combined total growth increase on targeted social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) in 2023.

The Miale Team at Keller Williams 
Marketing Specialist, June 2020 – July 2022

  • Responsibilities included directing marketing and communication strategies and functions such as social media, branding, campaign development and execution, content creation, writing and distributing press releases, conceptualizing and creating marketing collateral, and collaborating in event planning and execution.
  • Worked closely with the CEO and COO to measure metrics, set strategic business goals for the company, and create and prep presentations for quarterly meetings.

  • Led development and execution of a company-wide rebrand and new website launch. Managed all aspects, including developing and implementing creative brand assets across new website design, social media, internal team portal/intranet, and all marketing collateral. 

  • Developed email marketing newsletter campaigns for a database of 20,000 +. Oversaw all aspects of the newsletter campaign from creative development to campaign deployment, ensuring all emails are launched on brand as scheduled. Avg open rate: 29%; Avg click rate: 8%

  • Supported the sales team in daily functions and managed the execution and creation of print and digital content to assist the sales team in reaching their target audiences.

Marketing Specialist, June 2019 – March 2020 

  • Served as Interim Director of Marketing for three months. Worked closely with executives to leverage market research to develop strategic approaches for client acquisition. 

  • Collaborated with the sales team to coordinate and execute successful marketing collateral to drive revenue and increase sales opportunities. Led an external SEO firm to develop and implement optimized content to improve SEO rankings. 

  • Managed the creation, development, and execution of high-quality digital marketing campaigns across all social media channels, including email and paid advertising. Maintained content management systems and marketing lists of over 2,000 clients and leads. 

  • Co-led an initiative to refocus the business and grow brand awareness by creating new collateral, managing website development, and increasing social media presence with an above-average engagement rate of 4.2%.
